My Background
As a child, I loved drawing & photography. As I got older, this love never faded and eventually I graduated from college with a BS in Art Education. Painting became the best way to share my passion for the sea in particular.

I use many different mediums, such as thermoplastic adhesives, acrylics, reclaimed materials and multiple organic materials. My highly textured paintings begin as pencil drawings on the canvas and whatever happens after that is unplanned- it simply "happens" as I work on each piece.

My current work is primarily abstract, though I enjoy the beach & the sea and as a scuba diver, I was absolutely fascinated with undersea life. I am constantly photographing for material- anything from all things live to architecture. Only a select few are chosen as subjects. My portraits reflect people with unique, “textured” faces.
